No Lack!

Bishop David Oyedepo, in his book "all you need to have all your needs met " identified these young lions as not just the literal young lions, but also children of the strong and mighty of our days. The lion here is both symbolic and literal. They both (the children of the lion and the rich and mighty) get hungry and have their down times. On Nat Geo wild, there are documentaries of how hungry a lion pride can get especially in the hot dry seasons east Africa, and you may also know some rich folk that have it real tough when something bad happens to daddy's carrier but as children of the most high, we are not supposed to have those times without a sure hope of coming out. therefore take a step today to gain understanding and insight through the word of God on how to live above the ordinary means of the man that does not have Christ.

The Good Weight Problem

Okay, stop it right there! If you opened this write up just cos you want to know what could be good about your weight problem, or how you can make it good,  you better change your mindset before it is too late.

The good weight problem i'm talking about, is the spiritual kind. My Chaplain, Pastor Victor said something on Tuesday, that even the true vine -Jesus Christ was picked up by the devil

Matt 4:5-11
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

N otice that the devil took him up the first two times but had to leave him the third time because Jesus had proof of his word heaviness. if the devil could attempt taking Jesus in all his might, do you think you can be spared, if you do not get word heavy now? The answer is NO - so get heavy with the word and do it now.

Lets take another illustration, the story of the Hawk and the mother Hen is very familiar to most of us, if not all. Ever wondered how come the Hawk does not attempt carrying the mother Hen? It is because the Mother Hen is too heavy for him to take at a go, but the little chicks, can easily be grabbed in one of his paws. That's why we should all hurry up to get some mother Hen weight right away.

The Anointing

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

when you are anointed in an area, i.e the particular assignment God has chosen for you, you enjoy the touch me not covering. Touch not is not only for your pastor, it is also for you in that business, that job, that marriage or whatever it is you are doing, that God has ordained you to do. without the anointing to do what you are doing however, doing that becomes frustrating.
 This does not, however, take away the fact that the devil still tries to fight us, you just have to be sure you are doing what you are supposed to do, and activate the 'touch me not' word over your life

when Jesus  went to the cross, He did so with a crown of thorns for our sake. Now if you have accepted  him as your lord and saviour, its your duty to daily replace those thorns with praise - not because he needs it, he has already risen and that's enough glory for him, but he calls you to do it for the sake of the blessings he wants to shower on you

when the bible says in Rom 11:29

29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

it means that though you have gone astray and done all sorts of evil, leaving the higher calling that he gave you, you can repent and come back among his sheep and take back your place of gifting or calling. it may not seem like it at first, nor will all your church members accept you at first or at all, but the one who called you back explained in the conversation with his lover in the story of songs of Solomon chapter 1the way you are to come back.
she asked him:
Song 1:7-8
Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?
and his reply was:
8 If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds' tents.

 in other words, he wants you to come back to your place of service and learn at the feet of his apostles.
So if you hear him call you back to say, don't listen to the voice of the self righteous people who condemned you when you made a mistake, just take a bold step into his fellowship and he is waiting there with open arms

Reawakening the greatest creation story (1)

When God said, let us make man and give him dominion over the animals, He already had the dominion over all, but in a way, he stepped aside and allowed man to have the seat of dominion over His other creation.
This seat is what the devil took away at the garden of Eden and that is what Jesus came to give back to us at the cross.
What manner of love is this that God could allow man taste His position with man, even if he said 'My glory will i share with no man". this is because we are His most prized possession. Just like an inventor who reaches the Jackpot of his inventing career, the invention that got him there will definitely gain his best attention, He could give up anything to see that invention go places.
You can also see it from way down the History lane of the Bible in the time of Joseph. Joseph was in charge of everything in Egypt and was only answerable to Pharaoh. Pharaoh trusted he could handle the job, because he saw something in Him.
this is the way God also sees us, He trusted us right from the garden of Eden and even when we lost the way, He continued to find a way for Him to trust us again - that's why Jesus came back. Unlike the Joseph case, however, He does not only see ability in us, he put the ability in us, and when He says he loves us, He means his love prevents him from seeing those imperfections that we and other humans see in us...to be continued...

Look deeper and longer: don't be deceived

Sometimes, we look at the word of God, and without further ado we simply make conclusions about its meaning and implication and we sometimes do not get the full blessings that would have come as a result of  better understanding of His word
I have also been a victim of this.
In times past when the word of God in revelations 5:10 was read to me, i thought it referred to the one thousand year reign of christ but that passage says;
And you have caused them to become a kingdom of priests for our God and they will reign ON THE EARTH
This means that even here, before i die and go to heaven, and definitely before Jesus returns for his 1000 year reign - I WILL REIGN ON THE EARTH.

So from henceforth, don't let the devil lie to you when you look at Gods word the next time. There is always a new meaning when you read the word of God, having asked the Holy Spirit to help you.

Again, never let the devil tell you that your reign begins when Jesus Christ returns, start practicing your reign now, so you will have become a better leader by the time he returns.

Another thing that can help you is not to see the 1000 year reign as being assigned as a governor or President of a country. It simply means that you will have authority over everything. Therefore even now, you have authority over whatever life tries to throw at you, you only need to stand your ground on the word.
