3_john/1-2
Your spiritual growth must be equivalent to your physical life (other aspects of your life). You can't say you are growing spiritually and your physical life is not affected because the spirit is interested in every aspect of our life - there is no aspect he doesn't want to use to bring glory to himself.
KJV:The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
ESV:The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth.
NIV:The elder, To my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
AMP:The elderly elder [of the church addresses this letter] to the beloved (esteemed) Gaius, whom I truly love.
CNV:我這作長老的寫信給親愛的該猶,就是我在真理中所愛的。
